When it comes to finding a great idea to make an iPhone app, most people’s creativity gets very limited to what already exists.
Everyone keeps trying to “think outside the box”; funny thing about thinking outside the box, you actually create a barrier between yourself and your idea (the border of the box you put yourself in!).
Build your App around the following aspects, and you will win everytime:
App Appeal: Does the application appeal to the audience? Does it provide instant return on investment for the person downloading? If you have an app that saves your client $200 a month – this is still not immediate return on investment. You need to make your client feel that they already got the return on their investment (even if the app is free to start with) just after they downloaded.
How can you do this?
By adding sex appeal in the app – make them subtly think that they will get laid if they download the app, and they will be certain to download it!

App Additivity: After your client has downloaded the app, you want it to be addictive as possible; its not good enough to get your clients to download the app. So is your app addictive?
How can you make your iphone app addictive?
There are many ways, but one good method is to make the app free – providing lots of value (for free) and then somewhere in the app, add in-app purchase upgrades. So, for every 8 points of value you provide, add in 1 in-purchase option that your client can upgrade by paying a small fee (this works better than you can imagine!).
